DICE (Dipped In Creative Engagement) is a trailblazing youth engagement agency and social enterprise, specialising in consultancy and impactful youth initiatives. We are dedicated to creating employment and career pathways for young individuals aged 16-30 from underrepresented and underserved communities.

We champion those facing intersectional barriers such as exclusion, mental health challenges, limited employment and career support. By providing alternative opportunities, immersive programmes, and personalised support, we empower young individuals to overcome adversity and unlock their full potential.

At DICE CIC, we use ‘young individuals’ instead of 'young people' to ensure we include both young people and young adults between 16 and 30 years old, recognising their distinct needs and experiences.

Understanding the distinction helps us provide the right support at the right time. Young people and young adults face different challenges, and we tailor our approach to meet their specific needs.

Meet Our Founders

Aaliyah & Kianu Glasgow

We founded DICE to empower young leaders from under-resourced backgrounds to connect, co-produce, and build an inclusive community. Our journey started with lived experience — we were once labelled ‘bad and at risk,’ excluded from school, and searching for belonging in the wrong places.

A turning point came when another school accepted us on the condition we attend weekly coaching. That support reshaped our future. We went from feeling lost to becoming confident, caring leaders, and we now offer that same support to others.

Over the past nine years, we’ve upskilled young people, built communities, and formed lasting partnerships. Today, as community leaders rooted in East and North London, we work at a grassroots level to equip the next generation with the tools to drive real systemic change.

HOW WE STARTED

We started DICE in 2018 with a big purpose but few resources, running free drop-in sessions in coffee shops, libraries, and community spaces across Islington and Hackney.

Our goal was to support those out of education, training, or work with CV workshops, interview prep, and confidence building. When we realised many were also struggling with mental health and facing long waits for help, we made well-being central to our work.

Funding was a major hurdle, but we kept showing up. In 2022, joining Social Ark’s ‘Investment Ready’ programme gave us the tools to secure funding and form partnerships with Peabody, Barnados, the National Youth Agency, ELBA, Leap Confronting Conflict, and others. With these connections and strategies, we continue to scale our impact and bridge critical gaps for young people.
