A community where everyone is supported to find their greatness within.

At the core, we are a grassroots organisation that has founded a community of young people and young adults that co-design programmes for 16-30-year-olds. We recognise the power of partnerships and love collaborating with other organisations and services. We use creativity as a tool to help those struggling with their mental health and our knowledge of the NEET sector (not in education, employment or training) to get individuals back into education or employment. We foster connections so we can rally around each other and embrace each other’s struggles and successes.

Here at Dipped In Creativity Engagement, we are committed to creatively supporting people to become the best version of themselves; we successfully do this through:

We offer 14- 25 year olds the opportunity to receive 1:1 tailored mentoring over 12 months.

Reaching those who have faced challenges within mainstream schools, colleges and universities. With the help of our experienced mentors, we aim to increase confidence, employability skills and career aspirations.

Our mentoring programmes include:

The BigSis Programme

The BigSis Programme is a a 12-month mentoring and intervention programme for young women aged 14- 16 years old, who are at risk of exclusion, youth violence, and/or experiencing mental health challenges.

The D.I.C.E Crew Members Growth Programme

The D.I.C.E Crew Members Growth Programme is a 12-month mentoring and facilitation training programme for D.I.C.E Crew Members, who are not in education, employment or training, are under-employed and who are experiencing mental health challenges.

The one-on-one mentoring has helped me plan out my career goals better and believe that they are achievable. I now know that I can get help with what I want to achieve through D.I.C.E. Now I feel much more confident in my steps and approach as a creative freelancer.

We encourage schools, pupil referral units and colleges to reach out to learn more about the BigSis Programme and working with D.I.C.E

Our experienced facilitators design, develop, and deliver customised workshops, which can be tailored to meet specific individual needs.

We offer a combination of tailored one-to-one, and group sessions to help prepare young people and young adults to prepare for the world of work over the course of 8 - 12 weeks.

These sessions aim to improve confidence, build resilience, and expand on essential people skills. Including sessions targeted to work with SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) students and participants.

We intend to broaden young people's and young adult's horizons, through access to work placements, work experience and industry insight days to give them the experience to try new and challenging opportunities in and out of the workplace.

Our workshops include career aspirations and enterprise support:

  • Careers Step-In and Guidance Workshop

  • Get Into Event Planning Workshop

  • Vision Board and Goal-Setting Workshop

  • FutureMe Workshop

  • The #BRINGINGUSBACK Events Producing Programme

We work with creative partners within our network to provide members with the services, mentors, opportunities, and networks they need.

As the main partner for youth engagement, our goal is to help participants explore the creative industry, secure opportunities they typically wouldn't have access to, foster a positive mindset, and improve their well-being.Previously, we've seen significant improvements in young people's and young adults' attitudes towards learning and self-improvement. We have noticed a positive change in their mindset, demonstrating increased motivation and eagerness to develop both personally and professionally.

In 2023 we worked with The Halley Space, The Global Youth Awards, Make My Mark, Petok Productions and Roundhouse to signpost members to suitable creative paid and unpaid opportunities.

We plan and host community events to bridge the gap between young people and their communities, centring their contribution at the heart of our work.

Our #BRINGINGUSBACK Events Producing Programme allows young people to work together to organise and host our annual events, increasing their leadership, employability, technical and project-planning skills.

Our annual events include:

IHoldMyOwn - International Women's Day Event - March:

A female empowerment event co-produced by young women, aimed at bringing women together and encouraging them to try something new to support their well-being whilst celebrating, and connecting.

#BringingUsBack - Music Showcase Event - October/December:

A creative music showcase and networking event aimed at bringing artists, creatives, collaborators, and community members together.

This was my first time attending a social event by myself and I can say it was worthwhile. I won the painting competition and was shocked as it was my first time painting. The team was welcoming, brought the vibe and ensured everyone felt connected. I would recommend this event if you are looking for an alternative event, DICE community social events are a great pick!
